Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX10 Camera Blue Unboxing

Here is my Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX10 Camera Blue. I just got this today! It works very well! There is only one problem… I can’t get any of the videos I took to show up on my Mac and I cant find any videos on the SD card that I had in the camera. I can get the videos onto iMovie but I want to get the videos on the the hard-drive. Can any one help with this problem? If you have any questions just ask! Also Please Comment Rate and Subscribe! Q&A: Sony Cybershot 6.0 Software?

Question by starburstguts: Sony Cybershot 6.0 Software?
Seeing that i have a new computer, i need to install the ‘device software’ to be able to upload photos from my memory card. When i try to upload them; it says i need the ‘device software. I don’t have the disk i used to download the camera software to the computer anymore.

I’ve searched Sony’s website from downloads. I haven’t found any.

would i have to buy a completely different camera just to be able to upload my photos??

No!

you can manually get the pictures thru windows explorer!

connect your cam to the pc (usb-cam)

then upon autoplay prompts you, select “open folder”

then go to “DCIM folder” or something like that then copy the pictures on the folder… then paste it wherever in your pc!

if autoplay doesn’t run,

go to “my computer” browse there for the “removable drive”
then just open it, and as follows!

You do not need any special software,

Just get a memory card reader (if your computer doesn’t already have one), remove the memory card from your camera and insert it in the computer’s card reader.

Your memory card will appear on your computer as a removable storage (eg: drive E:).

Just go ahead and click and drag the files over to your MyPictures folder. That’s it!

I’ve stopped using software that came with my cameras a long time ago because not only that they don’t do much, many of them will stay on your system tray when you start up your PC, slowing it down!

If you need a memory card reader, shop around online at places like buy.com, amazon.com, newegg.com or pick one up from your local Walmart (even though it costs a little more).

The advantage of having a memory card reader is now, you can download pictures from ANY camera without any clunky software (many readers are compatible with several different types of cards). You can also store your files (documents, music, video…etc) to a memory card and transfer to another computer or other devices that use memory cards (mp3 players, cellphones…etc).

If you still want to have the ability to plug in your camera to your computer instead of going the memory card route, you can download just the driver from Sony’s website. Go to sony.com, select service & support, click on “drivers/software”, enter your model number. Click on Download. That’s it.

I had the software installed on my old computer, but the internet stopped working on that one. I lost the disk with the software, so I cant install it on my other computer… and I have some pictures I want to upload… is there aywhere I can download it?
