Which digital camera? Sony Cyber-Shot T200 or Sony Cyber-Shot T70?
Question by Tyler: Which digital camera? Sony Cyber-Shot T200 or Sony Cyber-Shot T70?
Hi,
I am looking at the Digital Cameras Sony T70 and the Sony T200. CNET hasn’t reviewed the T70, so now I am here for help. I need to know which one of the two you would get based on price, reviews, image quality, personal usage, etc. Please let me know, and I thank you very much in advance!! I will be using this camera indoors, and outdoors, quite often. Will be taking along to take hundreds of pics in Washington DC.
By the way…I have seen literally hundreds of reviews on this camera, so CNET cannot be the first.

cnet.com is always the first to review cameras
there must not be any for the t70

More advanced camera?
Question by newrose: More advanced camera?
I’m in a photography class, and have always liked photography… currently have a point-and-shoot (canon powershot a570) which takes OK pics (better than your super-compact that are popular), and looking to upgrade to something that will get me better shots and give me more options…. let me do more manual options/better quality/better range/ect.
I know that I’m not ready for a dSLR, but some of these look awfully nice. I’m looking for something that I can use now but also ‘learn with’ – so that as my photography improves I can still have a good camera. I’m in high school and def. could see myself taking some photography classes in college/uni. Not looking to get into anything too professional, but would like overall just a good camera!

– great reviews for the $ , but am I looking for more than this?
http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/fujifilm-finepix-s700-black/4505-6501_7-32401643.html
— our yearbook at school uses some of these, they look nice, will have to borrow one
http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/fujifilm-finepix-s1000fd/4505-6501_7-32820900.html
– for similar price as above, seems better?
http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/fujifilm-finepix-s9000/4505-6501_7-31456443.html
— getting a little too pricey, want to keep under $ 500, $ 250-400 is ideal range. Looks like it’s worth the extra money, but maybe too much for me?
There are so many options that it would greatly help if someone helped narrow down some of these… I’m sure I’ll be finding other of possibilities as well, this is just the beginning of my search. Thank you!

What about the Canon SX20 IS or for a little over your budget, the Canon G11. Imo Canon makes the best point and shoots.

I’ve compared the prices on other sites including amazon and the sony camera’s price is way higher. Is the Sony DSC W50 better than the Canon SD1100 IS?
Best answer:
Answer by LEM
It appears that the Sony model you point out has been discontinued, so it is only available from a few crazy retailers, that charge unreasonable amounts for it.
No major retailer carries it any longer (amazon link is not for a camera sold by Amazon, but rather by some 3rd party store through them). Quick Google shopping search shows it at B&H for $ 119, which seems like a reasonable price for it, but following the link leads to page saying that B&H no longer carries this camera….
So that’s about it… Whoever still has them for sale can charge what they want, due to lack of competition… Or they are the only ones left with it in stock because of their inflated prices in a first place…
LEM.
P.S. And to make my point clear – yes, Canon seems to be a better choice from looking at the specs anyway.
