Nex 5 or canon S95 or gf2?
Question by : Nex 5 or canon S95 or gf2?
i’m a newbie to the world of photography. Wanting to get a good camera, considered dslr before. But, it is too bulky for a amateur photographer like me. Therefore, after viewing and reading through several camera’s review, i narrowed my choice to SONY NEX 5, PANASONIC GF2, and CANON S95. Portability is a must for me because i would like to travel around. Don’t want to carry a big thing with me all the time.. the camera will be used to take indoor pictures of my relatives and friends as well. Just wonder if there are big difference in image quality of these cameras..?? How about in low light condition? Does the EVIL camera worth the money?
anyone have any experience with these camera?? please share… really appreciate ur help~
add in: how about GF1? i have heard a lot of good comment on the 20mm pancake lens.. really curious about it..

The EVIL cameras do provide better image quality. They are less heavy and bulky than DSLR’s. However, while having bodies almost as compact as compact cameras, the lens adds bulk. Also the kit lens has less zoom range, and when you add another lens your set up is no longer very compact. The Sony NEX5 has gotten high ratings for its sensor, but its lens is not the best, and the lens is bulky. The Panasonic GF2 has a better and less bulky lens. I think that the Olympus E-PL2 has a sharper and more compact kit lens. The effectiveness of its in body image stabilization is not as good as the Panasonic’s optical image stabilization. Still, it may be better to go with the Canon S95 for a better zoom range with real compactness.
